Delaney‘s Compound is my home and passion project.
Located on a peninsular (1 mile long and 4 blocks wide), it’s a cozy, compact getaway that started life as a fishing retreat (circa 1898) and has grown to include a Guest House, Studio Apartment, Vintage Trailer, and original Main House.
I started “Beach House Barter” to welcome people interested in bartering for a beautiful place to stay in a bourgeoning creative community. It’s a work-in-progress and I welcome skilled or unskilled guests who want to barter a 4 or 7 night vacation, here in Colonial Beach, Virginia, in return for assistance on a project, a repair, or just general maintenance of Delaney’s Compound.
